Julie Whitaker

Pat joined our State Farm office in Mechanicsville, VA in 2015 as our Administrative Assistant and Marketing Director. She has 15 years prior experience in the Financial Services Industry. Pat helps service our customers with Homeowner's, Renter's, Life and Health Insurance. Pat Brooks Hines is the first lady of Hanover County and a lifetime resident.  

Sarah joined Julie Whitaker’s State Farm Agency in 2006 and is Team Manager for our office in Mechanicsville, VA. Sarah focuses her time helping our customers with their Auto, Home, Life, and Health Insurance needs. She is committed to making sure families in the Greater Richmond Area are prepared in the event of a loss. Sarah is a 2000 graduate of King William High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences. Sarah resides in King William with her Husband and Daughter. 

Prior to joining our team in June 2023, Margaret worked at a department store for 17 years as a Customer Development Manager. She enjoys building relationships by performing reviews with existing State Farm customers as well as helping them with their Life Insurance needs. She graduated from Hollins University with a degree in Economics. Margaret resides in Mechanicsville with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys time with family and friends, spending time at the river and reading.

Chris joined our team in January of 2013. Prior to 2013 he worked as an auto claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance. Chris uses his knowledge of Home, Auto, Life and Health Insurance and his claims background to perform reviews with our existing customers as well as developing insurance plans for new customers. Chris is a graduate of NC State. He lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and two boys and enjoys spending time outdoors. 

Scott's enjoys helping State Farm customers with their personal retirement planning and small business retirement planning. Scott enjoys working with customers to create a roadmap to guide them through retirement planning. Scott has two children and enjoys taking them skiing, golfing and camping.

Tina joined the Julie Whitaker State Farm Team in March of 2021 and is the Customer Service Manager for our office in Mechanicsville, VA. Prior to joining our team, Tina worked with Virginia Transportation Agencies for over 18 years focusing primarily on managing the Integrated Directional Signing Program with VDOT. Her management and customer service experience provides value and commitment to our customers. She resides in King William with her husband, two daughters and three crazy pups.

Prior to joining the Julie Whitaker State Farm Agency in 2006, Latreese worked in financial services for 8 years servicing the Glen Allen area. With her experience, she is able to help customers with their Auto, Homeowner's and Renter's Insurance service needs and Auto Financing. Latreese graduated from John Marshall High School and attended VCU. 

Prior to joining our agency in 2019, Ellen Anne gathered 12 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. She graduated from Virginia Tech with an emphasis in personal finance. Ellen Anne enjoys developing relationships with State Farm customers while paying close attention to detail while helping them with Retirement and Education Planning as well as Auto, Homeowner's, Renter's, Life and Health Insurance.. When she is not at work, you can find her running her three young children to their various activities, taking a hot yoga class or cheering on the Hokies! 

Andrew joined State Farm in October of 2023 and made his way to the Julie Whitaker Team in April of 2024. He prides himself on developing relationships with the customers he works with and providing them with excellent customer service for their Auto, Home, Renters, Health, Disability, and Life Insurance Policies. Andrew lives in King William with his wife and daughter. He is the ultimate history buff, loves watching football and enjoys being outdoors hunting and riding 4-wheelers.

Lauren joined our team in March of 2020 and is an Insurance Account Representative where she spends most of her time assisting our customers with all of their Auto, Home, Life and Health needs. She has lived around the Richmond area her entire life and has a Business Administration degree from J Sargeant Reynolds Community College . Lauren is committed to providing value and excellent service with every State Farm customer interaction.

Lainey joined our team in February of 2021. Lainey is excited to put all of her customer service experience towards helping customers with any of their questions or concerns. She enjoys building valuable relationships with customers, and is committed to providing assistance with any Auto, Homeowner’s, and Renter’s Insurance needs. In her free time, Lainey enjoys playing with her dog Jaro, spending time out in the sun, and going to the beach.

We welcomed Jonathan back to our office in 2024. He brings with him over 5 years of experience helping customers with Homeowners, Renters, Auto, Life, and Health Insurance. Jonathan graduated from VCU and lives in Mechanicsville with his wife, daughter and their dog. He loves to cook and is an avid sports fan.

Nicole joined us in November 2022 ready to learn and help customers with their home, renters and automobile insurance. She comes from a busy medical office. Nicole has a wonderful husband and three amazing kids. When she’s not busy working in Julie’s office, she enjoys spending time with her family in King William and shopping.

Sharon joined our team in March of 2022 working part time, after retiring from 30 plus years in health care revenue cycle. Sharon attended VA Tech and is a graduate of VCU. She enjoys rooting on the Rams and the Hokies and spending time at the river and with her two grandsons.

Shannon joined our team in October of 2023. She has worked in the insurance industry as a licensed agent since 2018. She enjoys building relationships with customers and helping them with their auto, home, renter’s, life. and health insurance needs. Shannon is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and N.C. State. She lives in Mechanicsville with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and cat. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, being outside, and cheering on her sons at their activities!

Debbie joined our Team in June 2023. She brings with her 23 years of experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry. She enjoys helping to service customers with their Auto, Home, and Renters policies, while assessing customer needs to help make sure they are properly covered. Debbie looks forward to building relationships with State Farm customers. She enjoys bright, sunny days and spending time with her family.

Jay joined Julie Whitaker State Farm in Mechanicsville, VA as an intern in the Fall of 2022. His primary focus is marketing and customer service for Auto, Homeowner's and Renter's Insurance Policies. Jay is a student at Old Dominion University and a former football player at Old Dominion where he played wide receiver. He is an Atlee High School alumni where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Outside of work, he coaches high school varsity football for Hanover High School and enjoys spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
